ith a Many of us joined the military at a very young age say around 17 or 18 years of age.  During this transition into manhood with our military issued footwear we have walk many steps toward today where we find ourselves reflecting back to the years of youthful growth where Christmas dutifully kept us away from our families back on the homestead.  Eventually we have established our own families and homestead where  we rekindle the spirit of the season with those we hold close.  Our shipmates and battle buddies of Christmas past vaguely stored away in our memory bank of smiles and anguish of time past are always present for sea stories or as the Army may call it "bull session".  Today as I type my short dark hair of youth has turned to white like Christmas snow but in a retreating trend.  My memory may be like a Seal Beach fogbank at times but those memories of sharing the watch or patrolling a city street when everyone else is with family and friends I then and as I do now consider my watch sharing partner or fellow MP or battle buddy as they are family and will always will be.  TO you who have seen many Christmas away from family and friends and especially to those who have lost a partner and or family member reach back into the haze and bring forth the fondness of times (may not seem like it at the time) and smile.  This is one reason why we have reunions to rekindle and tell stories.  The FOX will have a reunion in 2019.  Call it a Family Reunion with the spirit of Christmas.  I am sure those members of the Fox Association directorship and its chairman will gladly like to see each and everyone of you in 2019.  Myself, with a big YES especially to the over the hill gang the "PLANKOWNERS"  We have a very close and special saying in the Army, "BE SAFE".  Be Safe shipmates and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and to you all a good night.
