Fox Association President, Mike Hare, sent an email to the Board of Directors asking for their vote on one of the three venues agreed upon at our last reunion.  Norfolk, VA, Myrtle Beach, SC. and the Florida Gulf Coast (Pensacola, FL/Mobile, AL).  The results are mixed.  Mike will be making a selection shortly.  After which we will be making arrangements.

Hope to see everyone at the 2015 reunion.

To All FOX Crew members:

Since Phil Habib put the word out I would make some kind of announcement about the 2015 FOX Reunion, I guess I better make good!

The Board of Directors has decided to begin planning the reunion to be held on the Gulf Coast.  We are currently looking into the Mobile, Alabama area to find suitable lodging and additional entertainment.  Mobile seems to be central to both the Mississippi coast and Pensacola area with plenty of things to enjoy in the area.  As we get more accurate information and a precise location, I will make announcements to the group.

Very Respectfully,
Michael Hare

To all FOX Family and Friends:

The 2015 USS FOX Reunion is now set to be held at the Holiday Inn, Downtown Mobile, Alabama.  The dates for this great event will be 16, 17, 18, and 19 September 2015.  A Farewell Breakfast will be the final event and will be done on the morning of 20 September.  The room rate will be $89.00 with a $7 parking fee for anyone driving into Mobile.  Parking is limited in the downtown area but the hotel has a parking garage across the street from the hotel.

As more events are set up you should be able to find information here, on the website: http://www.ussfox.org or on our Facebook page.  Please make your plans to attend and catch up with former shipmates or meet some new ones!  America's Finest Cruiser was manned throughout her life by some of the best Sailor's in America's Navy; come to Mobile and meet them!

V/r,
Michael Hare

For anyone still "thinking" about going to the next reunion, your time is running out!  There are rooms available and there is still time to sign up for a couple of tours and the banquet dinner.  Come on down to Mobile and tell me some good sea stories!!  At least stop by a visit with us who had the please of serving in "America's Finest Cruiser."

I look forward to seeing old friends and having the chance to meet some new ones, too!

Very respectfully,
Michael Hare
